I think I might have this same bug. But the suggested workaround does not work for me.
I have this setup: Ubuntu 12.10 64bit (fully up to date) # lspci | grep -i ethernet 02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM57760 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (rev 01) And the problem is this: When the laptop is not connected to external power my network-manager tells me I'm still connected to the WiFi network. I can disconnect it and reconnect it, no problem. But none of my applications can actually get online, not Software Updater, Dropbox, Firefox or anything else I've tried. Wired network still works, though. So, is this the same?
