The bug still exists with 3.5.3. 3.5.4 is out so I guess I'll try that. When it crashed this time, I was reading in a large database dump, browsing in Firefox, and playing a video in VLC. Firefox had two windows open, one of which was hidden behind another window, and when I clicked the Firefox icon in the dash, the animation to show both windows began, then promptly crashed, briefly displaying a nouveau error message before I had time to photograph the screen. Unity attempted to restart, but only showed the desktop background and an unresponsive mouse cursor. I had to force reboot. I didn't have a way to SSH into the machine at the time.
