Public bug reported:

I don't know exactly which round of updates broke this, but now my
LS-120 won't mount _any_ backup media I have for it. I even installed a
brand new factory sealed drive.

Works fine when booting Windows XP or DOS.

Boot Ubuntu, insert the same super floppy and it just sits there
clicking. Never fails, never returns, never allows eject. I even
physically unhooked my floppy drive in case Ubuntu was getting confused.
No dice.
