It's early days, but I may have fixed this in on my Tosh R900 by using ccsm to change : OpenGL - "Sync to VBlank" change to Off. Composite - "Detect Refresh Rate" change to Off. My Refresh rate was 60, which I think is suitable for most laptops.
So far, I've opened the lid twice without issue where before it was regularly freezing. My settings are those of the original - I'm not suspending, I'm choosing the "Do Nothing" action for lid closed, but I have a lock on the screensaver. Fingers crossed that this remains the case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772925 Title: Screen freezes after laptop lid closed for more than 1 minute To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/772925/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
