This bug is similar to Bug #1003790. I can confirm it: sometimes, Dash Home becomes unavailable, if you clik on the Dash-home icon, Dash Home doesn't appear. Is seems like a graphical / display problem. The only thing that appears are the icons of a window, which you normally get when you maximise a window to full-screen. This is a nasty bug, because you can't access or search for any programs any more that are not on the starter, which makes the whole system rather useless ;) Perhaps a better title for this bug is 'Dash Home doesn't work'.
Once the bug appears, it stays as long as you don't reboot.
