Public bug reported: The delay is always there. There seems to be no delay in Gnome for the comparable situation. I expect the Dash to appear immediately. As fast as you'd expect that a character appears when you type text.
Maybe it's because the transparency effect in Gnome uses less archaic ways of doing it, but I'm not sure about that. I just noticed that the dash transparency is CPU intensive, but that's another problem. ** Affects: unity-greeter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1046872 Title: Dash opens with a delay of about half a second after pressing and releasing the super key To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/1046872/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
