Like Lorenz it stopped again at some point and I have to blacklist uas. It is 'blacklist uas', not uad. In /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf With the blacklist on as shown below the Touro mounts again, normally. My blacklist.conf, part of it, as of a few minutes ago: # Trying this so Hitachi Touro will be usable. # Jan 11, 2012.
