Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kubuntu-desktop
I have both ubuntu and kubuntu installed on my computer. I log into ubuntu, mute the music, and then switch sessions. I then log into a kubuntu session and unmuted the volume if it wasn't already unmuted. I then tryed to play some music - nothing happened. No sound what so ever. Solution: Log out of kubuntu, log back into my ubuntu session, unmute the volume, re login to kubuntu and it worked fine. I'm not a programmer for the language KDE/Ubuntu uses, but I think it narrows down to one of two possible problems: 1) Kubuntu is unable to obtain access to the sound driver to flip the option off because the ubuntu session switch may have not released the lock on the sound driver (but what do I know?) or 2) The sound drivers will only work when both are unmuted (so then it may be a driver problem?) Anyway, just wanted to report this weird behavior. I definitely want to see the linux platform grow! ** Affects: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Sound doesn't work on two plus sessions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/122492 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kubuntu-meta in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
