Is there any news on this ? It is quite annoying for some of us that have to deal with the presence of an AD server. I heard somebody confirming that it was OK for him sinci U/G to 12.04 but I would like to keep my float of notebooks on 11.10 for the time being and maybe go to 12.10 later this year. Roland's proposed workaround sounds acceptable to me.
