Public bug reported: Distro: Ubuntu 12.10 Package: python2.7 & vim python2.7 version: 2.7.3-4 Vim Version: 2:7.3.547-1ubuntu1
I noticed this during yesterday's updates. Updating to the new version of python2.7 (2.7.3-4) causes vim-gnome packages (and probably other packages) to be removed. This forces us to use the minimalist version of vim (which I'm not very keen too). I was able to diagnose it during the upgrade of my Kubuntu VM (also run a Ubuntu VM, which was updated before). So I suggest that vim be rebuilt against the newer python2.7. ** Affects: python2.7 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: vim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: vim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1043542 Title: python 2.7 causes vim gnome to be removed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python2.7/+bug/1043542/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
