Public bug reported: I started a drag & drop of a folder in Evolution, which reproducibly hangs after a few seconds, leaving the X server locked up with a grab.
I went to the text console and killed -9 the evolution process. Afterwards, I found following errors were in my ~/.xsession-errors log: [4123:4384:530604721001:ERROR:platform_thread_posix.cc(251)] Not implemented reached in static void base::PlatformThread::SetThreadPriority(base::PlatformThreadHandle, base::ThreadPriority) [4123:4388:530623650931:ERROR:platform_thread_posix.cc(251)] Not implemented reached in static void base::PlatformThread::SetThreadPriority(base::PlatformThreadHandle, base::ThreadPriority) [4635:4635:531448181371:ERROR:tab_strip_gtk.cc(1265)] Not implemented reached in virtual void TabStripGtk::StopAllHighlighting() [4464:4473:531907220991:ERROR:platform_thread_posix.cc(251)] Not implemented reached in static void base::PlatformThread::SetThreadPriority(base::PlatformThreadHandle, base::ThreadPriority) [4635:4635:532239675354:ERROR:x11_util.cc(1121)] X Error detected: serial 108952718, error_code 10 (BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)), request_code 142, minor_code 1 (X_ShmAttach) [4635:4635:532239675904:ERROR:x11_util.cc(1121)] X Error detected: serial 108952719, error_code 159 (BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter)), request_code 142, minor_code 3 (X_ShmPutImage) [4635:4635:532239676300:ERROR:x11_util.cc(1121)] X Error detected: serial 108952728, error_code 159 (BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter)), request_code 142, minor_code 2 (X_ShmDetach) ** (gnome-settings-daemon:4292): WARNING **: Sink callback failure ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1042986 Title: Compiz errors in xsession log after client hung on drag & drop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1042986/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
