The observed behavior (with lsusb and jstest) is exactly the same : 1) with my current Ubuntu release (12.04, kernel 3.2.0-29), 2) with the latest quantal build (alpha-3), 3) and with the latest kernel (3.6-rc3-quantal). All of these configurations show the exact same behavior as the one detailed in the bug description.
