A couple of other pieces of information * When this bug happens, the mouse still works fine in many other applications (e.g. GEdit still works fine, the Launcher still works fine) * Recycling Intellij IDEA doesn't fix the problem * Applications in the virtualbox VMs (e.g. IE & Chrome) are also affected. * Left click events are still kind of firing... e.g. in IDEA, sometimes clicking in one location makes a menu drop down (even if you're no where close to the menu). * Mouse wheeling up / down in an affected application causes text to be selected (as if you've held down the left mouse button over some text and then mouse wheeled). * I have various things to reset the mouse back to its normal state (switch to different USB port, tried various commands to reset the mouse, etc).... The only thing I can usually do to get it to go away is to reboot :(
