Public bug reported: Testing today's ISO image on an Lenovo X220i:
Image: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20120822/quantal-desktop-amd64.iso following ISO test case: Testcase: http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/219/builds/21646/testcases/1300/results Got to near the end of the installation and got the error dialog box: "Error restoring installed applications An error occurred while restoring previously-installed applications. The installation will continue, but you may have to manually reinstall some applications after the computer reboots." No idea what failed. Also note that the error message should perhaps read: "Error restoring installed applications An error occurred while restoring previously installed applications. The installation will continue, but you may have to manually reinstall some applications after the computer reboots." ..i.e. replace "previously-installed" with "previously installed". ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: iso-testing ** Summary changed: - ubiquity: Error restoring installed appllications + ubiquity: Error restoring installed applications -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1040599 Title: ubiquity: Error restoring installed applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1040599/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
