It works fine for internal harddrives mounted in nautilus. When I plug a thumb drive, the icon does not appear. I also have some problems with managing this thumb drive in nautilus: 1) it shows it in "Devices" as USB DISK, there is no "unmount" icon there, 2) it shows it in "Bookmarks" as usb0, there is "unmount icon, 3) when I click USB DISK it does not show anything, 4) when I click usb0 it shows the content of the drive, 5) when I click the unmount icon next to usb0, it informs: "umount: /media/usb0 is not in fstab (to unmount you have to be root)", 6) when I right-click on USB DISK and select "mount" nothing happens, 7) when I right-click on USB DISK and select "unmount" or "safely remove" it informsL "One or more partitions are busy on /dev/sdb".
In the case of this thumb drive the Compiz->Show devices->Always->Only mounted method does not help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1038949 Title: Unity launcher doesn't automaticaly show new USB device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1038949/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
