I'm unable to reproduce this using the standard Ubuntu checkgmail. I looked at the automatix source and they do some thing slightly differently than if you install through the supported Kubuntu installation methods. Since you installed a modified package and are reporting an error that can't be reproduced with the standard package, the bug is invalid.
What I would suggest doing is: Remove checkgmail (sudo apt-get remove checkgmail) Remove the non-standard files that automatix installs: sudo rm /usr/share/icons/checkgmail.png sudo rm /usr/share/applications/checkgmail.desktop Then reinstall from the standard Ubuntu repositories: Comment out all of the automatix repositories in your sources.list sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install checkgmail If you can reproduce the problem after doing that, then reopen the bug (set status back to NEW). ** Changed in: checkgmail (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- [apport] checkgmail crashed with SIGSEGV in SSL_CTX_ctrl() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117510 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
