I tend to click the wrong launcher icon if I use a lot of unpinned apps that are folded in the lower left corner if the launcher. Only when I hover those icons, they start to expand or move out of screen, which makes it very difficult to pick the correct application.
A very poor work around is that I manually pin those programs to the top of the launcher and unpin them when closing the session.
