Public bug reported:
Shift-8 (aka, Shift-Asterisk) does not produce an asterisk. It seems to
be the only key that doesn't work.
The functionality works fine in Windows 7 on the same computer.
I am using a Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 keyboard and Ubuntu 12.04 with
all of the latest updates installed up to 2012-08-07 9:34am Los Angeles
time.
