Same problem to me. Nautilus hangs and then gives up with a "Could not register the application: È stato raggiunto il timeout" message.
Workarounds; $ Sudo nautilus keeps working. Restarting Unity usually works, but I wouldn't consider it a solution. I attach strace/ltrace.
