Unfortunately, this bug still exists. I am currently using the hack mentioned earlier in this thread:
Path to the driver is: /lib/modules/%your kernel version%/kernel/drivers/staging/rts5139/ I remove the rts5139.ko file. I lose cardreader functionality, but the usb works again. I did not try recompiling from the french link. That might fix the bug, but alas, I haven't tried.
