Where you running a prior Ubuntu release before this happened, or did you just apply updates to Precise?
Can you follow the "Boot options" instructions on the following wiki to enable additional output on boot: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelBoot As mentioned on the wiki, it would be great if you can attach a log file which may have captured any messages you see. If you are unable to capture a log file, a digital photo will work just as well. As a last resort you can even copy messages down by hand. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1031893 Title: Ubuntu 12.04 fails to boot after kernel update on T400 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1031893/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
