Thanks for your response. If a user chooses to download a third party driver: I see no reason why Ubuntu cannot restore back to the default driver if possible, if he or she is uninstalling fglrx (third party driver) using apt. To some extent I agree this is part the AMD Graphics (third party) Driver's fault. I would encourage a user to install the latest graphics driver if they were into gaming, which could result in performance gains. This driver would be more up to date than what would be found in the Ubuntu repositories.
