Ah, I'm sorry, I have since replaced my Ati card with an Nvidia one. restrictred-manager did not install the correct driver for my Geforce 8800gts either, but that's another problem and probably already known.
So if nobody else has this problem, this bug can probably be closed since I'm not able to provide any more info.
