Update: tried installing the latest Nvidia Drivers 304.22 and it has
fixed the issue I was having with waking up from suspend to a blank
black screen however there are still major peformance issues. This
affects many different Nvidia drivers and is partially due to the Ubuntu
3.2.0-27-generic Kernel.

My latest Xorg log backtrace:
[ 16170.502] [mi] EQ overflowing. Additional events will be discarded until
existing events are processed.

[ 16170.516] [mi] These backtraces from mieqEnqueue may point to a culprit
higher up the stack.
[ 16170.516] [mi] mieq is *NOT* the cause. It is a victim.
[ 16170.890] [mi] Increasing EQ size to 512 to prevent dropped events.
[ 16170.890] [mi] EQ processing has resumed after 39 dropped events.
[ 16170.890] [mi] This may be caused my a misbehaving driver monopolizing the
server's resources.

My Kernel log only reports that gnome-player crashed and I had to remove it:
