Public bug reported: I cannot reproduce the bug willingly. I try to describe.
Ubuntu is 7.04 amd64. Graphics Card is ATI X300. Bug occurs with vesa and ati driver. Sometimes at bootup, screen stay black. Keyboard is not working. Softoff is not working. But GDM plays login-sound. After starting KDE sometimes immediately, sometimes after a while, screen changes size (it is smaller then and does not fit into monitor size) Also in the console then (1-6). But when restarting X-Server, GDM shows normal screen size. When starting KDE, screen is small again. After a while, it changes back into original size. Sometimes it "tries" to change back, but does not success - it takes several "tries" till succeeding. I recognize the "tries" because the monitor "clicks". (I hope you understand - my english is not the best, see). When success, console-screen-size is also okay again. Also the screensaver sometimes hangs. When activated, screen goes dark instead of showing selected screensaver - and no reaction to keyboard or soft-off. Please tell me, when any additional information is needed. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- strange screen behaviour - changes size https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121641 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
