The shifted output is a problem of the Brother driver,m it does not
appear in any of the PostScript files which you have attached. At Ubuntu
we cannot do anything against it. Brother has to fix the driver.
The character substitution problem is caused by Poppler, this is fixed
in the cups-filters package of Quantal as pdftops-renderer=gs is set
there by default. Please use
lpadmin -p dbwcrrr -o pdftops-renderer-default=gs
in Precise.
