Joseph, I'm very happy I waited on reporting that bug upstream. Upon further research, turns out the problem is actually Bug #914631. Installing the mesa-utils package did the trick to get my graphics card recognized.
The 3.5/Quantal kernel still is needed to get full support for Intel graphics 4000 as the 12.04 kernel did not give me brightness settings nor choice of resolution. Thanks for the help and thanks for working on these kernels! https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-control-center/+bug/914631 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1023363 Title: Graphics Driver Not Recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1023363/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
