Similar problem here, but mine's definitely driver related. Mplayer worked fine when I first installed Ubuntu, but after installing my graphics driver, the colours in MPlayer and Xine are messed-up. Changing the hue to about 25% helps, but it's still not right. I've got Feisty Fawn on an Intel Duo Core with an ATI Radeon X1300Pro video card. I got the gfx driver from the ATI site. Any suggestions would be appreciated, but you'll have to be crystal clear, I'm a new to Linux.
