These symptoms are caused by tcp window scaling problems (on the
www.scmbb.ulb.ac.be server, not on your ubuntu system); see bug #59331
and bug #89160 for more details. Please try disabling tcp window scaling
as per the instructions found in these bug reports to fix this problem.
