I guess I now have to apply this "ubuntu-gcc" patch to my code :

#if __LONG_MAX__ > 0xFFFFFFFFULL
#include <c++/4.6/x86_64-linux-gnu/bits/stdc++.h>
#else
#include <c++/4.6/x86_64-linux-gnu/bits/32/stdc++.h>
#endif

Why is Ubuntu making people who want to use stdc++.h do this ?

Please restore standard STL usage patterns to your distribution .
