Hello, I would like to give another example, to show that it's not only one application having this problem:
With NewWave theme I had some unreadable menus too, dark text on black background. The worse look was "obtained" in NetBeans IDE (see attachment). I saw posts about solving the problem installing gnome-tweak-tool, which I found in the Ubuntu Software Center (12.04 LTS). But this did not solve the problem, everything changed except the menu panel which kept its black background. If someone reads this post, I give here a work-around: - First, right click on the desktop, select the "Look & feel" menu (not sure of the name, I have it in french), then select the theme: "Radiance". This will change the background of the menu to some light colour. - Second, use gnome-tweak-tool, and select your favorite theme, it will change all the rest of the window around the menu. ** Attachment added: "Dark text on black menu" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-themes-ubuntu/+bug/343969/+attachment/3213373/+files/NewWave.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/343969 Title: Menu unreadable in OpenOffice To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-themes-ubuntu/+bug/343969/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
