Public bug reported:

I am Installing ubuntu 12.04 from usb flash drive(stick-1) onto my hard disk .
As I dont want to meddle with mbr on the harddisk , I am installing the
bootloader into another flash drive /dev/sdc (stick 2).
The installer is not able to put the bootloader on /dev/sdc and throws up an
pop-up to choose another device.
