Public bug reported:

OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) 64-bit

Upgrade of foomatic-rip is broken (in foomatic-filters 4.0.16).

When trying to print PDF to a postscript printer, foomatic-rip attempts
to convert from PDF to PS (and fails). Error log (from
/var/log/cups/error_log) as follows:

[Job 42] Driver does not understand PDF input, converting to PostScript
[Job 42] Storing temporary files in /var/spool/cups/tmp
 [Job 42] Starting process "pdf-to-ps" (generation 1)
[Job 42] /bin/bash: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
[Job 42] /bin/bash: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
[Job 42] Cannot process "<STDIN>": Unknown filetype.
 [Job 42] pdf-to-ps exited with status 1
[Job 42] Process is dying with "Could not print file <STDIN>
 [Job 42] ", exit stat 2

I've downgraded to 4.0.15 and everything is working again.
