Ok after trying this on more my wireless router at home using the 3.4.0-030400rc6-generic-pae kernel , I get similar behaviour as with the 3.2.0-26-generic-pae kernel. It will connect sometimes and not other time. The machine will hang if I enable wireless after booting with it disabled. I am not able to switch to any tty, the only recourse is to hold down the power button.
I have attached another copy of dmesg from 3.2.0-26 kernel. In this scenario the wireless eventually connected after a fair amount of time and popping up the password dialogue for the wireless password, even though it is saved and I just clicked ok. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1019837/+attachment/3210866/+files/dmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019837 Title: 14e4:4727 WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-3.2.0/net/mac80211/rx.c:2985 ieee80211_rx+0x12b/0x180 [mac80211]() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1019837/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
