I was expecting the same thing since 12.04 had just come out. I thought for sure the updater would magically fix it for me the next day or the day after. Two months down the road, still experiencing daily crashes I found this thread. Tried all the suggestions here to no avail. I even attempted to generate my own stack trace so I could post it here and maybe help, but I didn't really have time to figure it all out properly. Then I lost two days of work to a crash and I finally couldn't wait any longer.
I formatted back to 11.10 and I've been happily productive ever since without a single crash. I recommend everyone experiencing this problem who requires stability from their machines to do the same until this bug gets fixed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096 Title: Nvidia driver causes xorg crash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/973096/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
