I was expecting the same thing since 12.04 had just come out. I thought
for sure the updater would magically fix it for me the next day or the
day after. Two months down the road, still experiencing daily crashes I
found this thread. Tried all the suggestions here to no avail. I even
attempted to generate my own stack trace so I could post it here and
maybe help, but I didn't really have time to figure it all out properly.
Then I lost two days of work to a crash and I finally couldn't wait any
longer.

I formatted back to 11.10 and I've been happily productive ever since
without a single crash. I recommend everyone experiencing this problem
who requires stability from their machines to do the same until this bug
gets fixed.
