I'm having the same problem the video is showing. Has the kernel-update being refered to in #32 already landed? If not, will this happen automatically or do I really have to manually install it? I'm asking because I'm not sure if I'm technically skilled enough to start messing with kernels. Then again, this bug makes my laptop virtually unusable (every time you accidentaly hit one of the brightness-keys it crashes and I have to reboot).
In case I do have to install the kernel manually, I just have to install the two debs from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v3.4-precise/, the headers and the image and then I just reboot? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007765 Title: brightness adjusting crashes system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1007765/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
