Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gearman-job-server
In oneiric (11.10), the gearman job server from the "gearman-job-server" package could be started with the option --libmemcached-servers. In precise (12.04), this is no longer possible and fails with the following error message: Example command (based on gearman-job-server init.d script): gearmand --pid-file=/var/run/gearman/gearmand.pid --user=gearman --daemon --log-file=/var/log/gearman-job-server/gearman.log --listen=127.0.0.1 --libmemcached-servers=##### -vvv Error: unknown option libmemcached-servers Comparing the dependencies for "gearman-job-server" in oneiric (11.10) http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/gearman-job-server and precise (12.04), http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/gearman-job-server one can see that libmemcached6 is no longer listed. However, in the Changelog nothing regarding this is stated. ** Affects: gearmand (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1015081 Title: memcached backend no longer supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gearmand/+bug/1015081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
