This is an old bug but I have the same problem and it's driving me crazy. I could reproduce described behaviour using the following method: 1.) Install Maverick (I used it for a while, but I'm pretty sure this is not important) 2.) Update to Natty
* At this point, autocomplete fails e.g. for sudo and arguments of aptitude/apt-get etc. (that's the first time I noticed) I then tried to fix it with described method (fixing /etc/bash.bashrc and checking /etc/bash_complete and /etc/bash_complete.d/*) 3.) Update to Oneiric * Same thing happens again. I suppose some config script is in fact faulty. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/477753 Title: autocompletion is partly broken in Karmic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bash-completion/+bug/477753/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
