@Steve Riley, well I'd make that 3 data points. If you look at #279 my issue is USB-related. Although for me it seems to be Ubuntu falling out with the USB hub in my docking station.
Out of the docking station, or with USB devices plugged into the laptop and not the docking station, and I'm fine. With a USB device in the docking station USB it will hang within 5 minutes 99% of the time.
