Exactly the same problem here: Running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (unity) The problem can be resolved by adding the proposed directive to the desktop launcher file.
Open the menu shortcut file: nano /usr/share/applications/AdobeReader.desktop and Replace the line/s: #Exec=/opt/Adobe/Reader9/bin/acroread Exec=env UBUNTU_MENUPROXY=0 /opt/Adobe/Reader9/bin/acroread This does not correct the problem but sends you back to the traditional menu. Would be nice if this could be resolved in the Adobe Reader Installer. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/664647 Title: All menu item text is invisible in Adobe Reader To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/appmenu-gtk/+bug/664647/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
