Looks like we finally got a fix. I just installed Nvidia driver 302.17, watched a 55 min. Hulu video using Unity 3d without crashing. Prior version 302.11 worked fine in 2d mode only, crashed to login in 3d. I also observed that temp didn't rise while watching movie. Nvidia settings showed 60-61c. with ambient 29.5c. Nvidia GForce 9800GT Ubuntu 12.04-x86_64.
