I have tried different settings for mouse sensitivity and acceleration. No obvious improvement, but I noticed that the sensitivity slider changes by itself. Doing some tests I found that the acceleration slider stayed where it was put between close and reopen of System Settings. However, the sensitivity slider would not stay in position between close and reopen. It always moved to the left on reopen. I found that it moved to the left only about 5% when it was set to 50% or more. When it was set to something like 25% it would move 10% to the left. When it was set to 10% it would move to 0%.
So it is impossible to set the slider directly to a low value (under 10%) because it always moves to 0%. Setting to 20% did result in about 10%, but there was no noticable improvement in pointer control at window edges. The move to the left was only seen immediately after the slider was repositioned. Just closing and reopening did not cause any more movement to the left. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008935 Title: Window edges difficult to catch and drag by mouse pointer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1008935/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
