Hey, ya know, isn't it kinda too late to ask? ;) I cannot even remember when and whether that problem was fixed. Anyway, anything changed since then, I have no longer access to the same infrastructure to verify the current state of things on 12.04, so I believe, this particular one can be safely closed as outdated.
