Public bug reported: I followed the prompt in terminal while installing idevicebackup, libmobiledevice. This error occured after installing likewise-open.
thor@ubuntu:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS Release: 10.04 thor@ubuntu:~$ apt-cache policy uuid uuid: Installed: (none) Candidate: 1.6.2-1ubuntu1 Version table: 1.6.2-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages I expected to be able to backup my IPhone 4 but instead the iphone refuses to allow the backup. Secondly, I read that the command idevicebackup4 or idevicebackup2 were required for the iphone 4 backup but the command did not exist. I don't know if either of these are bugs especially the second issue.
