Public bug reported:

Out of the blue, libreoffice applications Writer and Calc fails to load
at splash screen. No errors are prompted. I've attempted to run from the
terminal libreoffice --norestore --nosplash --writer and the splash
still appears and the process ends right after. No errors are outputed
on terminal.

What I've discovered is if I create a new user on Ubuntu and log in with
the new user, LibreOffice Writer and Calc loads normally as expected.
I've already remove all libreoffice packages with aptitude purge and re-
installed them and this issue keeps happening with my main
account/username on Ubuntu. Please not I'm not even trying to load a
specific file.

This is happening to me on a Ubuntu 12.04 fresh install (but after some
weeks of usage). I'm sending attached the crash report collected from
/var/crash
