There is a configuration error in your /etc/default/grub file which you
will need to resolve yourself. The problematic lines follows:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset
video=uvesafb:mode_option=1280x1024-24,mtrr=3,scroll=ywrap""
You'll notice that is says GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT two times. The
correct syntax is:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset
video=uvesafb:mode_option=1280x1024-24,mtrr=3,scroll=ywrap"
