Hi,
I am having a nightmare trying to install Ubuntu Server 12v04 LTS on an HP
Proliant Microserver N40L that has "FakeRAID 10".
Linux Ubuntu System drive is on a separate SSD. The "Fake RAID" consists of 4x
500MB WD electro-mechanical HDs to be in a Data-Only mode.
I have just sailed through a Windows Server 2008 installation with almost
identical "FakeRAID 10" that runs like a train, but this Ubuntu problem has me
stumped.
There does seem to be a problem that needs addressing, especially with the
blossoming numbers of these "FakeRAID" servers flooding the SMB market.
I would appreciate a 'heads up' from giuspen or any other successful install,
please.
I have not heard of any.
