This fix is presently a priority for inclusion in a stable release update to 12.04.
Unfortunately the fix for this bug applied upstream in 0.9.8 is very large and very risky. It essentially redesigns and rewrites much of the compiz window management code, which ordinarily would be unacceptable in an SRU. For this reason I think we would like to get it better tested in a PPA before proposing it to an SRU. So please don't get upset if this fix misses the next SRU.
