Steven,
I have not been able to reproduce it opening the window off screen, but
there is a way to recover from that. Select the window from the taskbar
then select Move and move the window with the arrow keys back on screen.
If you are able to reproduce this after doing that let me know. I have
gotten the recovery screen to show up several times but never off
screen.
