Hello Christopher M. Penalver
Over about 3 weeks I tested without workaround
the current kernel of Lucid 2.6.32-41 and 2 mainline kernel
<linux-image-3.2.15-030215-generic_3.2.15-030215.201204131303_amd64.deb>
and
<linux-image-3.4.0-030400rc4-generic_3.4.0-030400rc4.201204211835_amd64.deb> .
All worked fine, reboot too.
Greetings! Josef Göttle
